  • John Chang, MD

    Dr. John Chang is a graduate of South Alabama College of Medicine where he earned a medical degree in Internal Medicine and completed his internship and residency training at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York, NY and completed Gastroenterology fellowship at Nassau Country Medical Center in Long Island, NY.

    In Practice for more than 20 years, he is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He Holds fellowship in American College of Physician and Fellowship in American College of gastroenterology and has expertise in providing treatment for a wide variety of difficult gastroenterological disorders. Dr. Chang relocated his practice from Okeechobee to Tampa in 2007. He is fluent in Korean and English.

  • Amir Awad, MD

    Dr. Amir Awad is a board-certified gastroenterologist practicing in the Tampa Bay Area. He is a graduate from University of Alexandria Medical School in 1991. He completed his training in both internal medicine and gastroenterology at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in New York City. He received additional specialty fellowship training in Endoscopic ultrasound and ERCP at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York.

    Dr. Awad Started the endoscopic ultrasound program in Bronx Lebanon Hospital in 2006. After relocating to Tampa in 2009, Dr. Awad introduced this technology to Town and Country Hospital, where he continues to practice today. Dr. Awad lives with his wife and three children. He enjoys fishing with his family and sponsors the American Cancer Society's fight against colon cancer.

  • Alfredo Mendoza, MD

    Dr. Alfredo Mendoza is board certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Transplant Hepatology and has been in practice for more than 20 years. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. He also completed fellowship training in Hepatology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, United Kingdom. In addition he also holds a Master's Degree in Health Evaluation Sciences from Penn State University.

    Dr. Mendoza joined Westchase Gastroenterology from Tampa General Hospital and has broad experience in clinical management of patients with Gastrointestinal and Liver diseases. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
